When I got on the bus this afternoon I still had my glasses on from hurrying from my last class and I got on and the bus driver looked at me and said, "Wrong bus."
"Nope this is my bus," I replied, nodding my head.
"Oh! I didn't recognize you with your glasses on!" the bus driver laughs.
Really?

Also this guy asked who I was going to ask to the winter dance.
"I'm not asking anyone," I said ready for him to leave me a lone (typically I'm not that rude to people, but 1 this guy gets on my nerves and 2 I find him somewhat annoying).
"Why not?" He said.
"I don't wanna go," I replied.
"But everyone wants to go," he protested.
"Not me," I said, "I just don't wanna go."
"Yeah, sure...whatever... I know you, and you are just too chicken to ask someone."
"Am not!" I said, "There isn't anyone here that I want to ask, therefore I'm not going."
He stands there for a second then pulls my best guy friend over and says, "Here ask him."
"No! I said I'm not asking anyone!" I say.
My other friend, who just got pulled into this conversation looks from me to the guy I'm almost arguing with and then asks, "Ask me what?"
"Nothing," I blurted out. Then we went on with the conversation for a few more minutes while I tried to tell these two guys that I wasn't going to the dance and that was final.
When I thought my day couldn't get any weirder this guy that sits at the same lunch table comes up to me and puts his arm around me. This causes me to try and get out of his grasp, but he wouldn't let go and continues to discuss with me how I have "beautiful eyes" and then we keep discusses this as he walks down the hallway all the way to the end of the hallway only to turn and walk the complete opposite way.... why I chose guys as best friends I'm not so sure?

What is the point of school dances anyway? Heartbreak? The feeling of Rejection? The stressfulness of finding that "perfect" dress? The sweet two or three hours where you have fun until one person trips and falls into the punch bowl and ruins that once perfect dress? The blissfulness of feeling like you could be on top of the world until you realize it's just your platform styled heels that you can't walk in? The satisfaction of having heads turn your way?

Kind of an odd topic I know, but that's how I am.... Well--technically speaking--I'm even because of my age, but that isn't what I wanted to talk about anyway.
Yesterday we went to Holiday World as a family! It was fun! I got my dad to ride the Voyage with me! :) That was funny! haha We found out Noah is absolutely 100% FEARLESS!!! :D He was at the top of the hill on the Voyage turned around in his seat waving like a maniac at my mom and sister, Ali, who were down on the ground. Then once we were off my dad said that when we started to go down the first hill Noah was tapping Dad's shoulder.
The old people thing is because I just got done working at my neighbors house, and she paid me by giving me a Blake Shelton CD. I had worked for roughly an hour and a half. haha She is funny.

Drama Camp!

Today was the first day of drama camp! When I got there I was so nervous... There were only 60 kids from 3-8th grade.... only three 8th graders, counting me. :) I made two new friends though, so that's good. They aren't in the 8th grade though... I'm learning a dance routine for a song from Hairspray and singing a song from Pippin also The Lion King! Excited!

Another verse I love! It is used by the one and only Karen Kingsbury! ^_^ Most of you know that she is my favorite author! I have the chance to see her this summer in Bowling Green, Kentucky on June 21! BUT (why does there always have to be a but?) my mother doesn't know if she wants to take me... :/ Now I'm sad because she won't email the place to get FREE tickets... It's free and less than to hours away AND she is my favorite (just in case you didn't know)!

Anywho, today is my dad's birthday and he is getting OLD! haha just kidding, Dad! :) My mom has been saying I'm hyper today, but I don't really see it... Those crazy little things! :) NEVER a dull moment!

Sunday Mia, Noah, and I were sitting in the van with Dad; but Dad had to go in someplace to pick something up for work... As soon as he is out of the van I hear, "Take pictures on your phone, Jordy!" We went through why I should take pictures what I should take pictures of this is what we came up with...

At this point I was thinking so far so good, but then I was gifted with their normal faces...

Then we had a "Tomorrow is George Washington's birthday" conversation with Mia (the oldest)... Ali says, "Guys, tomorrow is George Washington's birthday." She gets a few yeah's and yup's... Although not from Mia who says, "Cool! How old will he be? 20?" We could not stop laughing... Then Mom explained that he was our first President... Mia was so confused...

Lastly, today Hope came downstairs after her nap. I was doing school, so I wasn't paying attention until she said my name. When I turned around this is what I found:

16 days! 16 DAYS is how long I have been wearing this shirt! Why would I do such a thing? For Haiti of course! :) We (the people wearing this shirt) started with seven days; then for every hundred dollars raised we add another day! As of right now we are at 23 days, and this morning we were $14 away from 24 days! The most we can wear them is 30 days! No washers or dryers! I handwash my shirt some nights and let it dry while I am sleeping! :) Forget laundry softener too! The first day I washed my shirt I woke up and went to put it on after my shower and was surprised at how stiff it was!
After a while it gets kind of boring; there is no variety, at all... The same turquoise shirt EVERY DAY! Now I know how some people live... People who wear the same shirt EVERY DAY, and don't even have clean water to wash them with... Makes you think of some shirts we spend $20 on and think, "That's not too bad; I mean it's a cute shirt!" Well that shirt ends up in your closet for maybe a week without being worn...
The other day I was getting in my closet for something (maybe a pair of shoes), and I looked up at all my hanging clothes. Then looked at my shirt I had been wearing for two weeks; I remember thinking, "Hello old friends." ATF stands for Acquire the Fire which is a Christian youth retreat thing! I am so excited for it because last year was so much fun! This year Casting Crowns will be there!!!! :) We have 2 fundraisers left to do! One we are selling bracelets and the second one is a nacho/soup sunday at the church! :) I'm excited!

My Birthday is in two days!!! I am so happy! I can't believe that I will be fourteen! I remember when I was maybe five or so, in kindergarten, with some people that are still my best friends to this day, I remember that I used to think that people who were fourteen were so much bigger than me. They were, but now I am one of those people! I just can't believe it! It seems like yesterday Ali had a broken arm, and I was having a birthday party with Meredith, Kate, and Kendra! Some of my best friends!

The next thing on the list is Chocolate Labs. I am still in love with them and want one SO bad!

I had the best/scariest weekend ever!!!! I went to a thing called Barnabas (it's a mix between a youth retreat and camp) I was REALLY SUPER nervous because this one the activity was Rock Climbing and Rappelling!!! We Rappelled down a 100 foot cliff!!! It was so scary, my friend said that when I came down he saw a huge tear on my cheek... Oh, well back to my story. We also rock climbed, I was so scared when I got down my hands were shaking really bad...

IT WAS SO MUCH FUN THOUGH!!!! AND NOW I CAN SAY THAT I HAVE GONE ROCK CLIMBING AND RAPPELLING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is so SWEET!!!!

my brilliant mom ran in the half-marathon today!!! she did great! she is the best she beat her time last year by 4 minutes, which is great for running 13 miles, without stopping!

If you have the question,did I read a book about a Chocolate Lab? No, I didn't, but this past weekend I got the blessing of going to spend Saturday night at my Meemaw's house with my cousins! It was a blast and Sunday I got to go to church with them which is always great too! Back to the Chocolate Lab; my papaw has a Black Lab mix. It reminded me of how much I love Chocolate Labs! They are so adorable as puppies and when they are grown up! I found this picture to show how adorable they truly are... Enjoy!

School is coming up very fast. It is coming in a whorl-wind of stuff; homework, teachers, substitute teachers, people around you, and your friends. This school year don't get drawn away from God because that is how the cool people are... In God's eyes you are all cool, and he is the only one that really matters when it comes to thinking that you are cool. Don't let having too much homework or sports make your Bible become the book that has been put on hold or you stopped reading because you didn't need to read that for school. The Bible is the most important book. People need to start treating their Bible like they would a library book.

my younger siblings love playing school... but it makes me wonder if how they act while we are playing at home how they are at school. they are horrible. noah got a 13% on one page, makes me feel sorry for his teachers. hope got a one legged A, she didn't even try she "turned in" her paper to me and it was scribbled everywhere after i told her to just put numbers on the page, i have a feeling this will be a long year of school for her and her teacher... mia on the other hand has great grades but had already been to the principal's office after 30 minutes of us playing...

Some of you might know by now that I have decided that I am going to home-school. Some of you on the other hand probably had no clue that I was even considering home-schooling. I didn't really consider it until I met the public school system.

I also feel like the Lord has lead me to home-schooling. I liked being home-schooled when I was littler. I also liked to be by myself... so therefore my decision has come to home-schooling.

So tonight, technically yesterday, my sister had this thing with one of her friends and when we picked her up we had to stop by Wal-Mart and when we did we were in the computer area by the clothes and there was a guy and a girl sitting in the aisle facing the t.v. They were also wearing Iron Man masks... I leaned over to my dad and was like "I think that I have found the future Mia!"

If you know my sister, Mia, then you would believe that this girl could be her someday!! Haha

i only have one more day of school!!!! then i will be on summer break i can't wait!!!! i won't have any homework until i am in eighth grade!!!!!

also i turned in all of my science fair stuff and presented it on wednesday! i got a 24/24 on it! i only missed one, but then i got a bonus point for having a positive attitude!!!

we got midterms this week and i got straight A's just hoping that i can bring the A- up!

finally there is only 3 months till school is over(march, april, and may)!!!!

i was up until 12 last night working on science fair...

i am so tired, i fell asleep while i was getting ready this morning, and i almost fell asleep in my math class...

on science fair i am going to try to win the Van Gogh Award which i would win $ for just drawing the things on my board instead of having everything typed! i am not sure how much that i could win, but i will gladly take anything! we (dana, my mom, ali, and i) made it look like a checkered flag (the theme was like NASCAR, but the project title was mousecar! get it!) then we drew mice and ya it ended up looking really cool! most people just threw it together real quick and they don't really have a theme and i do so yay!

definitely not it is so easy and i am getting good grades... the only hard thing is trying to find someone that goes to church and watches their language... that is pretty hard for a lot of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders at my school...

some kids at my old school made a blog that is called struggling through 7th grade or something like that... but i don't see how they could be struggling they all go to a good Christian based school... the hardest thing with that is the grading scale is hard... other than that i think that they have it pretty good...

there has been a lot going through my head... pretty much everyone's heads i think...
also today i got to see Nata! i had absolutely no idea that i was going to see her and i spent every minute that i could with her! she is so amazing!
Jonathan has been on my mind a lot too! also Mia and hope's birth mom and brothers the other part of my family... that they will be safe is what we are praying and believing for! Andrise, Nicky and all of the other people that i have come to know and love through Haiti, and it is just wonderful to see how God has kept the people that we know safe!

also i have science fair going on through all of this... basketball... and trying to keep my grades up... is a lot for a 13 year old to take in all in one week...

i don't know how many of you had snow days, but mine was great!!! we ended up having thursday and friday off! 4 day weekends sound great to me the only bad thing is that we have to make them up... :( also i am already counting down till spring break!!! like 10 weeks! wow that seems like a while, but hopefully it will go by fast!!!
